We interrupt this training program...

I'm writing this while eating my second bagel of the morning after a run of only 4.5 miles in 40 minutes. Uncle Hal's training program wanted me to run for 90 minutes, and I never eat more than one bagel.

Why the slacking off? Because I plan to participate in my first ever actual bike races later today and tomorrow at the Tour of Kansas City. Yes, I've done the Tuesday evening "training criteriums" and managed to hold on. While those are fast and competitive, they're really just very fast training rides. The difference here is that today's race is a real "pin on a number and try to place" criterium. Should be interesting. More later assuming I survive.
