On nutrition and planning

Today should be a rest day, but I plan to do one or two longish bike rides over the weekend and the half training plan calls for a 3 mile run and a 90 minute run. So, I ran Will to daycare again this morning to get the 3 mile run. I felt much better than I did on Wednesday. I maintained a faster pace and my heart rate was much closer to ideal. I plan to do the 90 minute tomorrow after a possible bike ride.

I've been occasionally tracking food and calorie counts at The Daily Plate for a while, and I've noticed that my daily calorie counts have increase steadily this week as my activity level has also. I'm eating more, but I'm also mostly burning the extra calories with exercise. It's interesting how my body seems to know that it needs to eat more.
